He could never get the feeling that he was being watched. But he knew the truth. He was being watched.
The lord of the house, Choi Seunghyun, was watching him from somewhere. He didn't know from where, but he was. There could be cameras as small as a pea, with the technology these days.
The weekend was coming up and it meant that after the Saturday morning clean, Jiyong was free for the weekend. It was always something he looked forward to throughout the week.
Kwon Jiyong got up from his knees and looked down. The floor scratches were gone and now he could move on to cleaning up Seunghyun's own room.
Other than himself, there was a cook and a chauffeur, Daesung and Seungri. Then there was Seunghyun's personal assistant, Youngbae. The four of them made up the staff at the Choi mannor.
For the amount of time Jiyong spent in the mannor, he never really saw Seunghyun all that much. Sometimes when he went to the kitchen to clean, the man would be taking a meal and be chatting with Daesung, bu most times he was off in his study.
The study where only Youngbae was allowed. Jiyong wasn't allowed to clean it, no matter how hard Youngbae complained of the mess inside. Seunghyun always said that personal rooms should be kept like they want to be.
But Jiyong didn't mind. He was fine with just seeing the man from affar. Because one thing Jiyong had was a crush on their boss, and everyone but Seunghyun knew it. This allowed them all to tease Jiyong as they wished during hours.
But today was off, Jiyong realized, when he went into Seunghyun's rooms and the man was still there.
“Uh, sir?” he called out, trying to see if the lump in the bed would move. He wasn't sure if he was supposed to leave or continue with the man there. Both were hard because he needed to make the bed and clean the room, and he needed light for that.
“Don't worry about him, Jiyong,” a voice called out. Jiyong turned to see Youngbae walk in the room and open the curtains. “He's still suffering.”
“Suffering?” Jiyong asked, confused. But now that there was light, he could start cleaning the floor. He went around the room and picked up stray clothing as Youngbae talked.
“Yeah, his second cousin, once removed, is coming for the weekend. She's been after his money for a long time now, and will be pressing a marriage proposal to Seunghyun.”
Jiyong cringed as he thought about the cousin. He had only seen her once, but he had seen enough. “I remember her,” he replied. He piled the clothing in a basket and moved that to the side as he began to clean the mirrors. “She was really loud, wasn't she?”
Youngbae nodded his head and from under the covers Seunghyun groaned. “She'll be here later today and will be staying four days until Sunday.” Youngbae ignored Seunghyun's groan as he continued. “I was wondering, Jiyong. Would you mind staying the weekend? I know it's your only free time, but we need all the help we can get.”
“I don't mind,” Jiyong replied.
“Of course, you'll be getting a bonus for this, so don't worry. Can you air out one of the guest suites so that Chaerin can have a place to stay?”
Jiyong nodded his head before pointing to Seunghyun. “And what do I do about his bed?”
Youngbae waved it off with a knowing smile. “You could get in with him,” he whispered so that only Jiyong could hear.
Jiyong blushed and punched Youngbae in the arm. “I'll be back later. I'll go air out the pink room.”
Youngbae watched as Jiyong walked off with his stuff. “How was that?” he asked Seunghyun. “You got to see Jiyong. How do you feel?”
“Better,” Seunghyun replied. He pulled up from the bed only to be in a full suit. He smiled at the closed door. “Seeing his cute face always makes me feel better no matter what.”
“I noticed.”

Jiyong coughed when he opened the door to the pink room. There was dust everywhere because he didn't clean here except when there were guests, but that was only every blue moon that the mannor had guests.
Carefully, he stepped in and turned the lights on only to cringe at the sheer pinkness of the room. He never like this room, but he knew that Chaerin like this room. He couldn't understand girls who liked pink, or even worse, guys who liked pink.
With a huff, he started to set off in cleaning the room. He opened the windows and started to air out the duvet and the blankets. He changed the sheets, vacuumed the floor, and even cleaned the countertops in the bathroom that was adjoined.
After two hours of sweating over the room, he finished. Satisfied, he left the room and made his way to the kitchen. Inside, Daesung was creating a feast for that night's dinner.
“Hey, Daesung,” Jiyong greeted as he walked in.
“Jiyong!” Daesung exclaimed. “Boss knew you were going to be here. He's smart. He wanted you to change into these clothes for Chaerin's arrival.” Daesung moved from in front of the stove and over to the pantry where he pulled out a white paper bag with some brand name written on the front.
“What is it?” he asked as he took it.
Daesung shrugged as he returned to his food. “He walked in here an hour ago and asked that I give that to you. I didn't even know you were going to stop by!”
Jiyong smiled and nodded his head. “Alright, I'll go change. Do you know where he is right now?”
“His study.”
Jiyong nodded his head again as he left the kitchen and headed towards the closest bathroom. There, he opened the bag and pulled the clothes out. There was a crisp dark blue shirt with a pair of black pants and a vest. Shrugging, he changed out of his standard white shirt and black slacks to the nicer looking clothes.
Once finished, he returned to the kitchen. “How do I look?” he asked Daesung.
Daesung turned and grinned at him. “Wonderful,” he replied. “You should see Seungri. He looked bored.”
Jiyong nodded his head as he walked out of the kitchen through the door that led outside. These clothes felt so nice against his skin he couldn't help but wonder how much they were. Were they expensive. Shaking his head, he pushed the thoughts out of his head and made his way to the garage where he knew Seungri would be, probably fixing a car.
Seungri may have been the chafferer, but he worked with the cars that Seunghyun had lying around. He fixed up classic cars that Seunghyun bought in America and Seunghyun sold them off. It was a little extra money, but it wasn't like Seunghyun really needed it. Jiyong thought it was just a way to keep Seungri busy when he wasn't needed.
“Seungri!” Jiyong called out as he entered the large garage.
“Here!” Seungri called out from under what looked like a classic Ford Mustang.
“Look at me!”
Seungri peeked from under the car to look at Jiyong before smiling. “Hey, sexy.”
Jiyong giggled and nodded his head. “Don't you think it looks nice?”
“Why the change of clothes?”
“I'm not sure,” Jiyong replied, carefully picking his way around tools that were on the ground to stand near Seungri. “Seunghyun-shi wanted me to wear it, so he left it with Daesung in the kitchen.”
“Seunghyun got that for you? What? Is he courting you now?”
Jiyong blushed as he started to leave. “Don't say things like that,” he muttered before he left. He heard Seungri's laughter even as he walked away from the garage.
Once inside, he checked in on the kitchen but saw no Seunghyun. With a heavy heart, he started off towards the study Seunghyun was always in when he was home. He never liked going on there without Seunghyun's permission, but this time he hoped Seunghyun was in there.
He knocked on the door and waited quietly for an answer.
“Come in, Jiyong,” Youngbae's voice called out. Jiyong smiled and opened the door and stepped in carefully. The office was just like he had last seen. Book shelves covered three of the four walls and the fourth wall, the one behind Seunghyun's desk, was simply one large window.
Seunghyun was no where in the room and Youngbae sat behind the desk today. “Seunghyun is out receiving Chaerin in the sun room. Why don't you go to him? He has a special task for you. Hence the clothes.”
Jiyong nodded and left without having said anything.
The sun room was his second favorite place in the whole house, the first being Seunghyun's private room. (If asked, Jiyong liked that Seunghyun's room was painted a dark blue and just seemed so inviting. But everyone else knew different.)
Quickly, he made his way there and knocked on the door.
“Come in.”
Jiyong pushed the door open and saw that Seunghyun was standing at a large window and Chaerin was sitting on one of the settees.
Seunghyun motioned for Jiyong to come closer and he did. Seunghyun leaned down and whispered into Jiyong's ear.
“For the duration of Chaerin's visit, you will be my boyfriend and we shall pretend to be a couple. She's after my money and the only way she can have it is if she marries me. Our grandmother will make me marry her if I do not have a companion.” Seunghyun pulled back and pecked Jiyong on the cheek and smiled. A little more loudly, he said “Youngbae said you would be okay with that.”
Jiyong nodded his head slowly before smiling. Now the clothes made sense. Though Jiyong wished he had been told earlier. If Seunghyun said jump, then he would. Even if it meant pretending he was dating the guy he had a crush on. He was sure that the idea was deranged, but he didn't mind if Seunghyun kissed him like that again. Turning back to Chaerin, he smiled. “Hi, I'm Kwon Jiyong.”
She forced a smile on her face and nodded. “I'm Lee Chaerin, pleasure to meet you.”
Seunghyun wrapped an arm around Jiyong and Jiyong saw that Chaerin flinched at the act. What was her problem?
“I had a room aired out for you,” Jiyong began. If he was going to pretend to be Seunghyun's boyfriend, he would do his job well. “The pink room. I heard that you liked it?”
She nodded and grit her teeth together in what seemed like frustration, only making Jiyong's smile wider.
“Thank you,” she grumbled out.
“I'll help you take your stuff up there,” Jiyong offered, holding out an arm for her as he grabbed the biggest bag she had. The other two were small and Seunghyun took one in each hand.
“I'll help,” he explained. Chaerin took Jiyong's arm in her hands and followed the tow up to where Jiyong had cleaned earlier that day. He dropped her hands and opened the door to the Pink room.
“Here we go,” he said as he put her bag beside the door. Seunghyun followed suit with the two bags he held.
“Dinner is at six. You can stay here and refresh yourself until then,” Seunghyun told her. “If you need either of us, we'll be in the study.” He moved back to the door and grabbed Jiyong's hand in his. “Let's go.”
Jiyong smiled and nodded as he followed. They closed the door behind them and started to walk off. Once they were sure they were out of hearing range they burst into laughter.
“That was amazing!” Jiyong finally gasped out in between tufts of laughter.
“You were good,” Seunghyun replied. “And thank you for doing this.” Jiyong smiled back before blushing. He realized they were still holding hands and they both pulled back. Jiyong looked up to catch a glimpse of a blush on Seunghyun's cheek.
“Thanks,” he replied to the compliment. “But do you mind explaining this more?”
Seunghyun nodded and opened the door to the study and waited for Jiyong to step In before entering himself and closing the door behind himself.
“My grandmother called this morning telling me that my cousin, Chaerin, would be coming over for the weekend to check up on me,” Seunghyun began. He pulled a chair out for Jiyong and took his own seat as Jiyong sat down. “My grandmother wants me to get married and have an heir for the money before she dies. Chaerin, who isn't directly related to me, was the perfect candidate.”
Jiyong cringed and Seunghyun nodded. “Exactly. I didn't want to marry her at all, and not just because I was gay.”
Jiyong stared in surprise. He hadn't known this. Seunghyun chuckled at the surprised look on Jiyong's face. “Not many people know,” he replied.
“But your grandmother wants you to have an heir,” Jiyong began.
Seunghyun waved it off with his hands and smiled. “Adoption. It was my first plan anyway. Adopting a kid in need of a home. Not a bad idea.”
Jiyong nodded in agreement and smiled. “I'm supposed to throw Chaerin off?” he asked.
“That's the idea.”
Jiyong nodded before a thought occurred to him. “What do I do?” he asked. “I'm expected to be at dinner. But I serve dinner.”
Seunghyun waved him off again. “Don't worry about that. Daesung and Seungri have got that covered.”
“And do I go home tonight or do I stay here?”
Seunghyun stopped and frowned. “I don't know,” he replied. “I guess tonight you'll go home, but tomorrow I want you here early with the stuff you need to stay overnight.”
Jiyong nodded before frowning. “Where will I stay?” he asked.
“We'll deal with that when tomorrow comes. For now let's relax.”
Jiyong smiled as he thought of the day. “For future reference, I like the dawn, my favorite color is red, I enjoy silly cartoons on the television, and I like to sing.”
Seunghyun smiled and nodded his head. “Well, my favorite color is-”
“Blue,” Jiyong cut in. You like the dusk, you like collecting toys, and you like to rap. I know.”
Seunghyun stared before letting a smile slip on his face. “Of course you know,” he replied. “So, tell me, are you fine with pretending to be my boyfriend?”
Jiyong shrugged and smiled. It was a dream to be Seunghyun's boyfriend. If he had to pretend to be his boyfriend, he wasn't going to start complaining. “It's not bad,” he replied. “A definite change from what I normally do.”
“Shall we go check up on Daesung and Seungri?” Jiyong nodded enthusiastically and followed Seunghyun to the kitchen. There they saw Youngbae and Seungri moving in and out of the kitchen as Daesung set out meals.
“Hey!” Seungri greeted brightly when he saw Seunghyun and Jiyong. “Jiyong! Your job is so hard!” he complained. Jiyong chuckled and shook his head.
“You're only doing half of it. I'm still doing the other half.” Seungri returned to his task and Seunghyun chuckled.
“You guys get along well, don't you?” he asked Jiyong as they walked towards the dining room. The clock chimed six and Jiyong smiled.
“We do,” he replied. They sat down at the table as their food was being placed in front of them. Jiyong refrained from fixing the utensils on the table when Seungri had placed them in an incorrect order. Ignoring it, he turned to the door where Chaerin walked in.
“Thank you for joining us, Chaerin,” Jiyong greeted. She only smiled as she took her seat from across Jiyong. Seunghyun sat at the head of the table with a smile.
Throughout the meal, Chaerin asked Jiyong polite questions, such as his age and his occupation. He replied vaguely on the second question, but truthfully on any other question she asked. By the end of dinner, Chaerin knew almost anything there was to know about Jiyong. Which didn't bother Jiyong, but seemed to bother Seunghyun.
“There's nothing planned for the rest of the day, so if you don't mind, I'll be returning to my study.” Seunghyun left the two in the dining room and left, somewhat huffed.
“He seemed mad,” Chaerin said with an evil grin.
“He is,” Jiyong replied. But he had seen Seunghyun like this before. “But he'll get over it. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to speak to one of the servants about silverware.” He left the dining room to head to the kitchen where Daesung and Seungri sat.
“How was it?” Daesung asked.
“The food was good, but the serving was horrible,” Jiyong replied, turning to Seungri. Seungri cringed and scratched his head guiltily.
“I'm sorry,” he muttered. “I'm not used to this.”
“Neither am I,” Jiyong replied. “Now, I need to make a cake. Chocolate. Daesung, help me.”
Daesung refrained from asking questions and helped Jiyong make a chocolate cake. Seungri watched, adding his own comment every now and then. Two hours later there was a slice of cake and a glass of milk on a tray.
“How did you make Seunghyun mad at you?” Youngbae asked as he walked into the kitchen. Jiyong shook his head and waved it off.
“I have an idea. It might be because I was too open with Chaerin at dinner.”
“You think he was jealous?” Youngbae asked. Jiyong shrugged and picked up the plate.
“Wish me luck.”
