Jiyong watched with a curious glance as Seungri sat across from him. The other, younger, boy was smiling and Jiyong wondered if the world was right. If all was good. Jiyong let himself relax and smile back at Seungri.
“You look happy,” Jiyong noted. Seungri smiled and nodded his head. Nothing could rival the look of happiness on his face.
“Youngbae and I were talking! It's almost like he never dated that girl!” Seungri took a sip of his iced coffee and hummed in his happiness. Jiyong smiled and leaned back in the cafe seat, relaxing. Seungri's smile was infectious. This was what had drawn him into the boy the first time he had saw him. The happiness about the kid, the overall bright feeling that shined off of him.
“Where is he right now?” Jiyong asked, closing his eyes.
“At work. Down at his office in Seoul. Which only reminds me that I need to go in today.”
Jiyong opened his eyes and raised an eyebrow. “I need to get back to the designs that I have at home too,” he commented. “I should be doing that now. When I'm not being distracted.”
“By Seunghyun?” Seungri asked with a wide grin. “I know what you mean.”
Jiyong felt a rush of happiness flood through him and he let out a laugh. Only when Seungri laughed did he realize that the laugh he heard now was something he hadn't heard in an awfully long time.

With a bright laugh, Taemin grabbed Minho's hand and led him through the house. “And this is my room! Because hyung and Youngbae are sharing a room, I get my own!” Minho smiled and held on tightly to Taemin's hand.
Taemin turned around and looked at their hands where they were joined. Slowly, he looked back up and smiled at Minho. He carefully leaned forward and pressed his lips against the taller boy's.

“You should have seen how happy Taemin was!”
Seunghyun looked back at where Kibum had called out to him from. “Was he really that happy to have a brother?”
“You know, he's not with his parents, so it's exciting to have him feel like he belongs. Everyone should feel like they belong.” Kibum's face fell for a bit and he looked depressed, but he started to smile as he thought of something.
Seunghyun smiled and nodded his head, wondering what the younger boy was thinking about. “I think everyone deserves that,” he agreed. He turned back to the alley where he was taking his break. “Do you feel like you belong?”
Kibum chuckled from the doorway and nodded his head. “Right now? Yeah. I feel like I belong.”

Jiyong stood outside of the convenient store and smiled. All day he had been smiling and he didn't really want to stop now. Everything had just settled and it was perfect. Minho was inside the convenient store, buying a few groceries for tonight and tomorrow. Taemin was with him and they were searching for the “perfect dinner” for Jiyong.
Taemin had mentioned that because Jiyong was the one that had brought Seungri back into his life, he needed to be thanked. Minho agreed and Seunghyun had chuckled at the idea, thinking of his younger brother and his friend cooking dinner.
“We're done!” Jiyong waved the two boys over to him. “We got everything we need!”
“For a feast?” Jiyong asked.
Minho frowned as he thought of something. “It's too bad that hyung's at work,” he started. “Or he could have enjoyed this with us.”
Jiyong shook his head and ruffled Minho's hair. “Don't worry about him. He's around gourmet food every night. Don't you think he'll be a little tired of it by now?” Minho looked up with a smile and nodded his head. “Alright, since I borrowed Seungri's car, let's use it to get back to the apartment, shall we?”
The three piled inside the car and excitedly headed back to the apartment. “What do you do for a living?” Taemin asked. “You have a lot of money, but you never told us what you do.”
Jiyong chanced a glance at the rear view mirror to look at Taemin. “I work for my dad,” he replied. “He's an architect and I help him design buildings. Famous ones, at least.”
Both Taemin and Minho made sounds of amazement and Jiyong chuckled to himself. When they reached the apartment complex, Jiyong slyly looked back and saw what he had suspected earlier. Minho's hand was firmly gripping Taemin's and they seemed to be holding onto each other for their lives.
Smiling, he only nodded and hummed to himself all the way up the stairs to the correct level. Once there, he opened the door with Minho's key and walked in. “Are you guys going to start on dinner?” he asked.
“Yup!” Taemin replied. “So you have to go wait in the living room. Don't peek!”
Jiyong smiled and nodded his head. He sat down on a couch and turned the television on. Tonight was nice. He heard laughter from the kitchen and he couldn't help but think of Seungri's laugh earlier. It had been a while since he could think of Seungri's laugh.

“Thanks for the ride home!” Kibum called out as Seunghyun left. It was the second night he had dropped the boy off and he found that he didn't mind. Kibum was already good company to talk to and it didn't hurt that he was Minho's friend. He smiled as he rode away and headed back to his own apartment complex.
Upon entering the apartment, he noticed that the kitchen was cleaner than he had left it this afternoon and there were three pairs of shoes at the door. He quietly slipped inside and headed to his own room where he saw a light shining from under the crack. He peeked inside and smiled when he saw Jiyong on the bed under the covers, fast asleep.
Seunghyun got himself ready for bed and turned the lights off as he slipped into the bed. Arms wrapped around him immediately and Seunghyun smiled at Jiyong.
“You missed the most wonderful dinner,” Jiyong greeted in a sleepy voice. “Minho and Taemin cooked a feast. But don't worry, they saved you some.”
“Good,” Seunghyun whispered. He wrapped his arms around Jiyong and quickly fell into a deep sleep.

Seungri's vision was blurred by tears and he couldn't see what was in front of him. Not that he needed to. He knew where he was. He was in Seoul at his club. This was where he brought himself after the events of the afternoon. The music from the dance floor thrummed, but he couldn't feel the bass in his bones. His whole body was numb, but he could feel the lingering pain. The pain in his chest.
He was in his personal bathroom that connected to his office. His hands braced him over the sink and he looked unseeingly into the mirror. There stood the man who had thought the world was good only a few hours before. He was beyond shaking and he couldn't bring himself to move his body anymore. His only option was to fall, and he knew that he couldn't even fall.
“I know she still loves me. She only cheated on me for attention.”
Slowly, Seungri pulled himself away from the sink and left the bathroom. His feet where dragging him to the desk he had placed there when he had first bought the club. A complete gamble using Jiyong's money, but it had been worth it and he had paid Jiyong back gratefully.
“It's not like I could actually leave her.”
Seungri dropped himself into the seat and his hands clambered at the drawer he kept his personal belongings in. The bottom right hand drawer. His hands shook as he opened it and he leaned in to reach for something. The pain was getting worse and he needed to make it better. The pain tripled in strength and he knew he had to take care of it right now. There wouldn't be another chance.
“And anyway, this was just a one time thing. I knew how much you wanted me for a night, so I let myself cave. You're such a wonderful friend.”
Hands found cold metal and he pulled up a silver gun that he had bought to protect himself in his own night club. A precaution, he had told himself when he first bought it. Unconsciously, his hands checked to see if there were bullets inside and he switched the safety off.
He took a moment to look down at it and he wondered just what this would do. It would end him. Stop his world. Bring everything crashing down. But most of all, it would stop the pain in his heart. Where Youngbae had stabbed him, it felt. Where it was like the world had dumped all of its own pains in him. This wasn't irrational. He was only doing this to get rid of the pain.
He brought his hand up and pointed the gun into the left side of his chest. With a last breath, he pulled the trigger.

Youngbae pulled back from Seungri and smiled. “Thanks,” he whispered as he ended their hug. He sat back down at his desk and returned to his work.
“For what?” Seungri asked. He couldn't help but smile. He had come in to see Youngbae while he was at work after seeing Jiyong before he went to the club to start on his own workload. And for what he knew, it had been worth it.
“For helping me with this. The whole getting back at my girlfriend thing. I know she still loves me. She only cheated on me for attention.”
Seungri froze, smile still in place. But his heart stopped too. He looked over at Youngbae and cocked his head to the side. “She did?” he asked carefully.
Youngbae looked up with a smile and replied. “Yeah. I mean, we were starting to get a little rocky in our relationship, and I knew that she would pull something like this. But I also knew that she didn't mean it. I don't either. It's not like I could actually leave her.”
Youngbae looked back down at his work with a soft smile on his face. Seungri's face showed blatant shock and he looked at Youngbae. “How'd you know she was going to do it?” He carefully voice the question so that he didn't show anything more than shock. Not that he had to do much. He was really in a lot of shock.
“The way she was distant with me and how she tried to get my attention in different ways. She tried looking at other guys while she was with me. She suggested that maybe it was time to part. But her actions always mixed with her words.” Youngbae looked up at Seungri, the smile still in place. “And anyway, this was just a one time thing. I knew how much you wanted me for a night, so I let myself cave. You're such a wonderful friend.”
Seungri couldn't feel anything. His bones wouldn't move at his face wouldn't change. Carefully, he nodded his head. A night, he thought to himself. One time thing. “Yeah,” he said out loud. “So, are you guys back together?” he asked.
“Yeah, she came back this morning and I explained to her what happened. Apparently she had tried to come back last night and saw us. After explaining everything she realized what happened and we're back together again.”
Seungri's body was numb and he couldn't express anything on the outside. But one thought raged through his head and he couldn't think of anything else. He's happy. He's happy without me. Why can't I be happy? He's happy.
He looked at Youngbae and slowly forced a smile onto his features. He would show Youngbae that he was happy too. Even if he wasn't. Even if he could never be. “I'm happy for you,” he replied.
“Thanks!” Youngbae's face broke out into a wide smile and Seungri felt it. The beginning of pain blossoming in his chest where he knew his heart was. “I'm so happy I have a friend like you!”
