"In the jungle you must wait until the dice read five or eight," Britta read aloud, glancing up from the board at the others. "What does that even -" The point of the clue became evident before she even finished talking, though, as everyone vanished from sight.
More accurately, Britta was the one to vanish, disappearing from one jungle to another. "Guys?" she called out, then clapped a hand over her mouth. There had been more shrieking in the last day than she'd ever care to admit, but she wasn't entirely sure yet if she was back on the main island, somewhere deep in the jungle of the second island, somewhere altogether new or, most importantly, where that hunter was. She was about as far from prepared for this kind of crap as it got, making her way through the trees and glancing around her as she went and jumping at every odd noise.
After what seems like forever to her nerves, though, she found a path and followed it - right past what she was pretty sure was her own hut. Picking up speed, Britta made a run for the Compound, more relieved than she'd thought she'd ever be to see the stupid place. As badly as she would have liked a shower, a drink and a really long nap, if the others were still back on the second island, someone needed to go help them now.
