I'm not big on tourneys anymore - they take too long and generally don't have a good payout in the end, even if you win (generally speaking for the home games around here). I tend to hold low stakes cash games pretty much all the time, or basically whenever people are around.
And not for nothing since you've never been there for this, but whenever i tell people i don't mind holding a tourney if they're sticking around for a cash game afterwards, i get 7 or 8 people saying they'll stay for the cash, play the tourney, then say they have to leave. A little more than aggravating to me.
I guess at some point i'll have a tourney just for the hell of it. I'll likely have it tomorrow actually, with a cash game as always afterwards. I'm not expecting you to stay for the cash (if you even come), but it's always there. Probably setting up consoles for fighters too. I gotta mention that to Guen, actually, since he said he wanted to come down next time.
If you guys are down for a game tomorrow, comment in my LJ/call my cell. I have work until noonish tomorrow, but call me anytime tomorrow to let me know. I'll look to host it whenever is convienient for everyone. let me know.
