(no subject)
Woot, today's Friday.
Things have been fairly blahhh this week. I guess that's how it goes. You do something awesome one week, then you don't do anything awesome the next.
Work at Beta has slowed down significantly, which leaves me worried. Once this project is over I don't know if I'll still have a job with them. I'm working on a back plan though. I spent a part of Wednesday at UL's job fair handing off resumes, in particular, to Iberia Bank and Enterprise. *Crossing fingers*
Other than that I've just been sitting at home like a bump on a log, or working at the Pati. Oh! I played my first match in the tennis league I joined. My Asian friend Luka and I played these 2 older dudes. We lost the first set, but took the next 2 in overtime. It was epic.
I'll be working all Mardi Gras unfortunately. But! I think I have Wednesday morning off. So maybe I'll party it up Tuesday night. I dunno. It's been a while since I drank. It's tons of fun, but it also leaves me unbalanced the next few days for whatever reason.
I dunno. I'm just feeling demoralized because I've been applying to a lot of businesses online and I haven't even been on one interview. It's partly my fault though. I need to follow up and call HR. Enterprise sent me an email saying I should hear from a representative within 5 days. If not, I got a contact number to call.
I just want the security of a straightforward job that pays decent. That shouldn't be too much to ask, but nowadays I think it is. I'm willing to put up with the routine, monotonous bullshit that accompanies a pencil-pushing job. I just want the security of a steady, modest income. Goddamn. It'll come one day.
