[Day 348: Farewell]
Tonight was Soul Run's farewell party for the OYRs, including me. :)
We had an entire place reserved for our party, and of course it was nomihodai with some food as a side lol. It was pretty confusing at first as we all sat down. Someone had said that the OYRs were supposed to sit at the center table, but then we felt weird because it wasn't really mingling with the regular students. After ordering drinks and a lot more confusion, we drew numbers to figure out our seats. The strange thing was, Shelly and I chose the same exact seats so we didn't have to move at all.
The festivities continued, and we were able to enjoy ourselves and talking with each other after such a long time. Then somewhere in between Rei showed us the farewell video he made, which included a lot of memories from practices when we still sucked at dancing and other random events. We each received a DVD of the video as well as a sign board with messages from the other members. ^_^
More talking and partying ensued after that, and everyone got pretty loud. It's always interesting when you see the people around you get more and more drunk. I'm not sure whether it was just because I didn't drink as much or the drinks weren't strong at all but I didn't even feel any effects of alcohol, which was weird. I was hoping for some umeshu, but they didn't have it on the menu. D:
Soon enough it was past the time we were supposed to leave so we gathered our things and went. Then we separated into the group which was continuing the festivities and the other group that had to go home, which I immediately joined. The funny thing was that as we were standing on opposite sides facing each other, Rob, across the way from me, was laughing with everyone until he glanced in my direction. He did kind of a double take as he realized it was me and his facial expression immediately changed to one of shock and utter sadness. He walked over and was like, what are you doing over there? You should be over here with us. I explained that I had to travel to Chiba so I wasn't able to stay out late, and he immediately answered, no that's tomorrow, tonight you're going to party with everyone lol. I somehow convinced him that I had to go though and we all walked toward the station.
There were a few others with me, and we were heading in the same direction. It was kind of awkward as I had to ride on the same train with one of the new members for awhile. It was just the two of us and he was trying to speak to me in English as I answered in Japanese so it was kind of awkward finding something to talk about. Before long though it was my stop and we quickly said goodbye haha. I made it over to my sister's at about 12:30 I think? She was still up, and I was all sweaty from the trains so it took awhile before I finally showered and went to sleep.
