[Day 138: Nabe and a scary movie?]

Gahh this is so late. x_X This past weekend has been a blur and so I'm only getting around to this now...

Anyway, today was my JLP final and the Soul Run mini dinner at Rei's.

I was surprisingly pretty confident on my JLP test. O_O I studied the kanji so much I knew or could guess on all of them except one haha. I was so scared I was going to blank on like half of them. XD Then the grammar was basically write a story using at least eight of the listed grammar points. I chose to write about crepes because I couldn't think of anything else haha.

Then I headed back to the dorms, to quickly eat lunch, bake up a batch of chocolate chip cookies, and get ready to go to the party [as well as pack my stuff for our Hokkaido trip].

I ended up being a little late, because I didn't realize it was going to be raining. That made the 10 minute bus ride twice as long. Not to mention, when I got to the station where everyone was meeting, I thought that was it. Apparently not haha. We had to take two more local trains to get to the right station. So confusing, I was just following the others who knew where his house was. We went shopping for food for nabe, then headed back.

Immediately they began cooking. I wanted to help somehow, but ended up not really doing much of anything because there were already so many cooks in the kitchen haha. Overall we all watched a couple of movies and ate and talked. It was funny because most of them wanted to watch Friday the 13th, but when we found out it was actually not really scary and actually kind of boring in the beginning [not to mention multiple people cracking jokes at almost everything XD] we ended up fast forwarding through the entire movie trying to find the scary parts. By that time, it was still kinda early for the party, but Yukako said she had to go. I wasn't sure when the next person was going to leave, so I knew I had to take that chance to leave too. And good thing I did, because the trains ended up being delayed and I had a long way to go. If I had left any later I probably wouldn't have made it home.

Last thing I'll mention about the party, was when I brought out my cookies haha. It was sometime when everyone had more or less stopped eating nabe. I realized I should take them out then so I wouldn't forget. As I was taking the container out of the plastic bag I had it in, a couple of people noticed, and were asking if I had brought something as if they were saying, "is that what I think it is?!" They already knew it was baked goods before I took them out. When I opened it, everyone was excited and said they looked good haha. I warmed them up a bit in the microwave, just enough to melt the chocolate chips and everyone dug in. They all loved them and it was funny seeing everyone's reactions. Aska looked at me and was like, "how can I bring out what I made now?" hahaha. But her banana bread was really good. Different from the type of banana bread my mom makes. There were extras, and Rei kept commenting how he was going to eat the rest haha.

Okay, so I made it to the hotel, where my sister was waiting for me, after midnight. I was exhausted, but caught up with her a bit before we got ready for bed and slept.
