The phrase of the day on 'a word a day' today was "devil's advocate", a phrase I've always liked. But it surprised me by saying that "advocate" was pronounced "advo-kate". When "advocate" is a noun, I pronounce it "advo-cat".
Have I been wrong all these years?
(If so, won't be the first time, won't be the last.)

Anyway... sorry that I will be missing the apa this time, but I also did not want to put in a zine that did not include condolence to Sharon in Winnipeg regarding the cat needing to be put down following a rather serious bite... that was heartbreaking to read, and I won't zip something off about Chris Godfrey books and just bypass that. It's too important.
Sounds like a lovely evening indeed. People who don't look at clouds are missing beauty on a daily and hourly basis, eh?
Well, my shoulder was tender and my arm weak almost all day at work. Right now, on my way home, I feel no pain there at all. How lucky am I? Very! I got some exercises from a coworker who has long dealt with "thoracic strain/sprain syndrome," and they helped. I think I did indeed just sleep on it wrong, several days running, and it just could not take this. I'm going to be extra careful from now on, believe me. Such incredible pain that was, and basically from out of nowhere!
Can I blame my new futon for being much too comfortable? hee
