Castle and White Collar...

Saw Castle episode 3x12, "Poof! You're Dead". I tend to enjoy stories about magicians - well, not The Prestige, but most of them. This one was fun, and I liked the way it had all the old tricks: the twin, the false death, the motive, the hidden storehouse with the invisible door. I also loved seeing Lainie with Esposito, and the way everyone knew about them. So why were they trying to keep their affair a secret?

I was also a little puzzled by the theme about Castle and Gina. Were they supposed to be an item all this time? I know Beckett thought so, at least for a while, but nothing led the viewer to think so. It wasn't as if we ever saw her, or heard reference to her. That seemed sort of... tacked on. It wasn't as if she seemed to be one of Castle's private circle, let alone his family circle.

I really, really don't like Beckett's hair this season.

Also saw White Collar after it's long hiatus - well, it felt long to me. 2x10. "Burke's Seven" - great title, lovely idea. I particularly liked:
  1. Peter in a polo shirt instead of a suit and tie
  2. Peter on a horse, riding after the killer
  3. Seeing Elizabeth, but I wish she'd been in it more
  4. Seeing Diane, and her confidence she could handle the villians
  5. The theme of Peter's coffee cup - nicely handled (no pun intended)
  6. The recovery of Mozzie, true to form
  7. Mozzie figuring out the puzzle with straws
  8. Peter in trouble again. Why do I love it when Peter's in trouble?
  9. The scam with the boat
  10. Neal in his hat
