Gu Ben Wan...

Yesterday, on our last day on board the Ruby Princess, maaseru and I went to a shipboard talk on Chinese Herbal Medicine, given by an Australian woman named Tanya. Yes, I was pleased to hear of that, too; I can imagine how good it felt for you to experience it. If you cannot find the Gu Ben Wan (but I imagine you will), let me know, and I'll help look.

Detoxification systems are good. I've just been on one of my own...! I'm finding that I sneeze when something nasty gets eaten -- food preservatives, mostly trigger that. I sneeze two times quickly, and then often keep sneezing five or more times. Sometimes I can stop it by blowing my nose, sometimes not. These things tend to instantly make my mucus membranes emit fluid, I've seen. A good indicator that I've eaten wrong, and a fast one. So, I just got pure cane sugar and cold-pressed canola and safflower oils at the store, and will be steering away from processed foods of all sorts, from now on. Keep the bodily inflammation down to levels that my heart appreciates! Whole grains are good for that,t oo, which is great, as I find them totally delicious and satisfying. I'm now eating a five-grain-plus-flaxseed whole-grain breakfast cereal that is like mega-wonderful oatmeal. Ah, so satisfying! So far, having it when I get up is going just fine. Another happy detox surprise! Hope you're having your own, of that sort.

Meanwhile, you be cruisin'... onward you be cruisin'.

With any luck, I can look for Gu Ben Wan on Somerset St. tomorrow.

The detox is working, I think. I'm feeling good, anyway. That's a plus!
