X-Men Origins: Wolverine...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Lots of action, lots of movement, many close-ups of Hugh Jackman breathing heavily. Not a bad thing. It isn't the X-Men movie I really want - I'll never get that - but it was fun in many ways. They played fast and loose with the canon I know - but the comics have done that, too. I'm curious about what you'd really want now?

Character-based adventure stories with strong and interesting women. X-Men at its best is very clever - good banter, good personality interactions.

I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that there was a Deadpool film being mooted...

Woo! Thank you! This sounds brilliant! (Yes, hope springs eternal.) Deadpool is (or should be) a great character, and he's very cinematic. Like... Spider-Man with an edge, and dubious morality.

I think they'll have to un-Weapon XI him for that.

Yup. A dream, a hoax, an imaginary story... Actually, it would be easy to fix him: he has regenerative powers (like Wolverine).

One certainly does if it results in a naked Hugh Jackman running around!

Exactly! And those scenes were great. Wolvie at his best. Not just naked, but befriending innocents and wearing that motorcycle jacket and... well, just being Logan.

Didn't one of the X-Men writers envisage Creed as Logan's biological father initially?

Initially, yes. We all expected that to happen. It didn't.

A friend of mine is already fervently in search of Wolverine/Gambit slash - and I wouldn't mind it myself so let me know if you find any.

If i don't, I might try writing it myself.

That'd certainly be slash with panache--and *real* slash!
