Occupational Hazards
When Jack was young, he wanted to be a pilot. He was fascinated by planes and starships and speed. He wanted to travel far away, always at the helm. Born to be a Captain, his father said.
When Gwen was young, she wanted to be a singer. Or a dancer. Or a journalist. Or a mountain climber. She was eighteen when she thought: A copper - that's it!
Rhys loved toy trucks. All kinds.
Owen wanted to help people.
Toshiko wanted to pursue theoretical engineering.
