Alright, Lymle. Let's see how many of these we can put up around the village!
[Faize in a surprising rule-breaking turn, is wandering around with pens, carving tools, and a drawing of a symbol to use for reference. This symbol, which Lymle perfected, is the lightning symbol that he wants to use as a makeshift source for electricity. He is wandering the village, drawing or carving the symbol into trees and the walls of public or abandoned buildings. Think of it as advertising.]

Symbology is the kind of magic used in the Star Ocean series, which is just magic based on specific symbols. The link I gave explains it pretty decently (although it doesn't touch on the fact that symbols exist that aren't marked on a symbologist's body). This symbol is something that Faize theorized in an attempt to mimic a battery. It's a lightning symbol combined with a symbol that causes it to continuously recast itself while activated, thereby producing energy for technology to draw from. Now that Lymle has perfected the symbol, Faize is getting ready to start researching ways to put it to use. Before he starts his research, he wants to spread the word about it, in hopes of the knowledge spreading in case either he or Lymle are kidnapped, sent back, or any number of terrible possibilities he thinks the Malnosso might inflict upon them. I think that about covers it.
