Yes, that's right, Good News Week won't be on this Monday...

Watching Episode 6 on the website -- http://ten.com.au/ten/gnw-video.html

The leprechaun joke - my mind went where Mikey's did, why is Paul making a leprechaun joke when he's so short himself?

Unfortunately, the tone was set quite quickly by John Moloney and Jimeoin, and, eh... I really wasn't looking forward to this one, but I can't just pick and choose episodes, that defeats the purpose.

Yes, this has purpose, isn't that odd? When GNW is cancelled again (and it will be) I'll have at least recorded my thoughts, because I've noticed I can very easily forget how good a cancelled show really was. (Farscape, for instance, I loved, but I was loathe to watch it, because it was cancelled without a chance to end. That somehow that transformed into 'I loathe it' after a while.)

I agree with Mikey - Pia Miranda is just so cute, what is she doing on this show? She should be, like, a Play School host, or something. Seriously. (Unlike, say, Rhys Muldoon, who has always seemed right at home on this kind of show. And was in an episode of Farscape.)

I snickered when 'Blow up your pants' was announced, as immature as that sounds, but the whole segment.... was kind of an embarrassment. From Pia's go-go dancing, the 'forgetting to put the letters in' the letter S 'could be a five' (Though I did laugh at "Which singer slash mother slash car crash...?" "Britney Spears!")
The less said about Jimeoin's 'cheeky' turn the better.

And the GNW video is crapping out on me... Meh. I do love the show, but, it's hard to sustain that when it isn't going to be on next week. So, yeah, I'll leave it at that, and make a note to review the next one quite a bit sooner.

idiot box, good news week
