In which Faith gets a show

There were few things in life that Faith actually looked forward to with any real anticipation. The prospect of a good fight was one. Great sex was another. An offer of a strip tease and anything she wanted after that? Well, that was at the top of her list for the moment. Yeah, the offer had come with strings attached, but she was wasn't about to focus on that when she had music to pick.

It was harder than she would've thought to pick the perfect song. She'd told Joel to stick to the basics for clothes, a concession on her part that she hoped he'd remember when it came to their date, considering he was lucky she didn't request a pair of leather pants. The music though... that one had been tough. Sometimes too many options was worse than having none at all, something that had very much been the case for her in her endeavor. Eventually she'd settled on one that had the right amount of sensuality and rhythm for a strip tease.

Clearing her living room as best she could to make room, Faith went about lighting candles. Not only were they better than strobe lights, they were what she had on hand. Making herself a jack and coke helped set the mood for her while she waited until she heard the knock on her door. The Slayerettes had been well warned not to bug her tonight unless the world was absolutely ending or someone was dying, so it wasn't a surprise when she found Joel standing in the hallway looking as good as ever.

"Hey, handsome."
