I know that animals have brains, and just like us, their brains send them singnals making emotions. I think that since humans have bigger, intellegent brains than animals do, we feel emotions (regret included) maybe a little more, but there is no doubt animals feel regret too.
However, if you ask me if animals feel regret like, if they didn't say "sorry" by tucking their tail under their butts after puking over your nice shirt, I do not think they feel regret. I don't think their brains are capable of remembering things like that, and then regreting it. But, if they just puked on you and you ask me if they regret puking on me, I think they would have felt a spark of regret.
Just not as complicated as humans.
