April Update.

Almost the end of school. Everything seems to be due, including two projects I can't do on my own. Meh.

My real reason for coming on here? I'm finally done a lot of the stuff that I had to do this term. Including my placement. I spent Wednesday and Thursday basically just holding my kids. And doing my last three activities. I miss them so much. I'll be going in to see my field educator this next Wednesday, and I do plan to go in around the time that my kids will be napping (so I can actually talk to my field educator), but because I'm meeting a friend to work on a project I need to get to Ryerson sooner rather than later. I'm probably going to be going in when my kids are just getting settled for nap.

I miss them so much. I almost cried on Thursday when I had to leave. And I didn't leave until closing time either day, which is unusual. I think some of them understand that I won't be back (the ones that clung to me especially) but others, I don't think they really understand.

Now, I'm almost done my presentation due on Monday (with a group). I think I only get four minutes total to talk. That's not enough time to discuss the writings and connections to other philosophers that I should. I just hope that I don't miss anything really serious. And I'm glad that I'm not doing any other part of this assignment, since I think Paulo Freire deserves more than just twenty minutes of discussion.

Anyways, I think I'll go now. I need to get going with other projects (like those damn stickies) so that they are done in time.

Also, I'm in somewhat of a bind. I really want to see Brokeback Mountain, but I want to read the book (okay, it's not so large of a book, but it's still a book) first. I never got around to reading the book when it was still out in theatres, so now it's coming out on video. I want to buy the video as soon as possible, but I know that if I do, I'm far more likely to watch the video and not read the book, which I really really want to read. And once I've seen the movie (like other movies that come from books) I don't feel the need to read the book. This would have been so much easier if the damn book hadn't been taken out when I went to get the Freire book. Hopefully when I return the Freire book it will be waiting for me, since I don't really get to the library all that often.

Oh, and most people don't know of my obsession with Peter Wingfield. I mostly love watching him when he was on Highlander, and it was very easy to do up until about a year ago, since The NewVR, Spike, Showcase and Space all were showing the series at one time or another over the last eight years. Now it's gone from the television (perhaps for good) but last week, my brother dragged me (yes, dragged me, I hadn't had any sleep the night before because of a project and in order to not fall asleep at Finch station, my brother agreed to meet me but then decided to take me shopping with him) to Deja Vu Discs. Guess what I saw? Highlander season 3, and for only 37 dollars. What?! Twenty dollars cheaper than the cheapest I've ever seen it and nearly thirty dollars cheaper than I usually see it for? That baby's mine! I don't care if Methos isn't in it (since I couldn't remember which season he came in), there's apparently commentary by him and plus if I own some of the Highlander series, I need to own all of them. And when I was buying it, I asked the nice man behind the counter if they had any more. Season 2 is being moved from their Pickering location to the location nearest to me and should be there this Tuesday. Then on Thursday I was looking at their website, they have Season 1 at another location. It may take up to two weeks, but it's also coming to me. I love Deja Vu Discs. Love them lots.

Anyways, all I really have to do for school is my portfolio (which includes printing out all of the articles that I've been saving on my laptop) and making sure that I've written all of my journal entries. Plus those damn stickies. At least I only need to finish 12 more of the stickies (very little information needed for the 12) and start on another six stickies (since I haven't done anything with those philosophers yet). Oh, and I need to do the timeline, basically haven't done anything with that, but some of the things from the chart are supposed to be on the timeline, so I just need to copy them over.

Meh. I don't wanna do schoolwork no more.
