Awww, I'm sorry your homecoming was craptastic :( **BIG HUGS** That'd be incredibly frustrating to come home and find your room like that, especially after you asked for it to be cleaned up beforehand. And then arguing with your dad and computer crashing? UGH :(( Only one thing could be worse... you could have been transported to a room where the walls are made of RP's hair, the tiny screams of distress from trapped unicorns taunt you and you're forced to read AND watch Twicrap...

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!and that macro as well!!!! Hysterical!! ^.^ Thanks, that really cheered me up :) *hugsback* [I really want to mount a rescue for those tiny unicorns!! ;p]

Yeah, Brian sucks sometimes :S I just can't believe he assured me he'd cleaned up when he HADN'T! It's so unlike him. pfft. Anyway, thanks again for your sympathy and the lolcat - it really had cheered me up <333

Lets hope tomorrow is indeed better :) *hugsbackagain* I need want my Simmies!!!

I'm glad :) <33 We really should mount a rescue for those poor lil' unicorns. I mean, it wasn't their fault that they're forever trapped in a tangled mess of a rat's nest. *mourns them*

I hope the next (and next now I suppose lol) day has been better for you and that you've sufficiently Simmed up :D

NO! The tiny unicorns are dead?????? :*(((((((( *also mourns them* I'm sending tiny helicopters and animal rescue units just to make sure *sends*

I can't Sim!!! :( I need a new PC. I don't know if you remember the hassle I had before when my PC kept crashing and Brian replaced the video card and it took forever etc etc. Well, it seems his replacing it hasn't made much difference - the game crashes before it loads no matter what I do *is upset* So, no Simming for me for a while, it seems :*( *is full of woe*

Oooh, no they're not dead!! Just merely trapped forever. Well, until a rescue is mounted anyway :D Though they might as well just be dead because there can't be much else worse than being trapped in RP's tangled mess of hair ;p *search and rescue doubles their efforts due to their tiny distant cries*

Awww! That sucks so much!! Sry :( Are you sure it's the video card? Maybe there's another issue that might be fixable? I'm sure you've looked into this, but does it crash without the custom content enabled? I had that problem often with Sims 2, it crashing before loading because of some of the custom stuff I had loaded. Maybe you could back up your game files and uninstall/reinstall it freshly? Sorry you can't Sim :x *sends Sim shaped cookies*

*He of the hair, in a drunken haze, is oblivious to the tiny helicopters hovering literally over his head and sleeps through the tiny unicorn rescue. Cheers can be heard from those of us elated at successful said rescue* ^.^ Now the unicorns can run free! YAYYY /dag

Yes, I'm fairly sure it's the video card. The computer has been dodgy ever since Brian replaced it and it ALWAYS crashes just as you're entering whatever neighborhood you've selected to play. I've had the CC issue too and I tried to enter by disabling it just on the off chance it was that but even disabled it crashes :( I uninstalled/reinstalled twice as well to no avail. I really just can't play 'til I get a new computer, methinks :( :( :( Aww, TY <33 *eats virtual cookies*

YAYYYYY you saved the tiny unicorns!! *and the world rejoices at the rescue of the tiny unicorns and their rescuers* Run free tiny unicorns, run free!! *tiny unicorns happily run free* :D

Just curious, but is your new vid card an Nvidia by any chance? I've personally had problems in the past with Nvidia and EA Games in general. Also, and I'm sure you've checked this too, but could there be an update for you to install to make it work with your specific video card? I know you or Brian has probably went over this a dozen times, just trying to be helpful. I'd suck to not be able to play :(( Are you planning a new PC then? Maybe a Mac? :D

LMFAO!!!!!@ run free! SO CUTE (in my head!) :D *rejoices @ their rescue*

I honestly don't know what my new card is. It's been a few months since Brian installed it and I've forgotten. It MIGHT be something to do with the video card though b/c I sometimes get a dreaded 'stop error' after I crash - which is about new hardware/software. It would make sense if it was it but that just makes Brian out to be a fibber then b/c he told me my PC was fine for me to come back to (which it clearly isn't) :( idk...maybe it was when he checked. Other times it doesn't give an error at all, it just crashes so idk :S Yes, I'm planning on getting a Mac Mini as soon as I can b/c you're right, it does suck not being able to play. I'm really irked, to say the least b/c I was looking forward to playing sooooo much and I just can't ;.; Awww. I appreciate your help. It's lovely to know you care enough to suggest things <33 I'll be happy if this could be solved with just a simple update from Nividia! (or whoever). *but would also love a swanky new Mac*

It issss soooo cute *watches the video of their rescue on YT* ;p

Hmmm. Stop errors are usually related to the device driver crashed. It's likely the video card. I'd still look and see if there's a driver update for it that's recent but it sounds like there's little you'll be able to do short of getting yet another video card or a whole new computer. Yay for a new Mac Mini when you can get it! It'll surely be able to allow you to Sim whenever you want without any of these problems :) *ppffffts PCs and their issues*

OMG SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE @ just the thought of that on YT LOL! SO CUTE!! (and hilarious when you think about it!)

Wouldn't it tell me if I need an update though? Brian is going to try putting in the video card of my dad's PC into mine, just to see if it IS the video card ie: if the crashing stops, it was. My dad rarely uses his computer so I might just stick with that if it solves the problem (he only checks email on his so it most likely wouldn't crash, is Brian's thinking). But on the other hand, I WOULD like a Mac so I'm torn :S I suppose I'll just see how the video card swap goes and take it from there. Gah @ all this hassle tho. It's sooo annoying! Especially crashing multiple times a day! ;.;

Eeheeh, I know! It amuses me muchly too. *replays the video* ;p

Not necessarily. It should probably tell you if there's an update but it doesn't always happen. Ahh, good idea re: switching out vid cards with your dad's computer. Well, I hope it works so you can Sim but a new Mac would be awesome as well :) Either way, hopefully you'll be up and running again soon without crashes (ugh, that's soooo frustrating) so you can catchup on all the Simming you've missed recently :)

Awww. *squee*

So, this will seem obvious I suppose - but should i just go to Nividia's home site and look, even though I have no clue what I'm really looking for? LOL :x Thanks. Brian mentioned doing it tomorrow but I won't hold my breath (unreliable is his middle name) but I can hope he actually does do it and things go smoothly :) Aww, thanks again. I hope so too. I miss my Simmies! :(

Yeah, just go to their website and do a driver search for the card you have. If there's an update, it'd be good to have anyway :)

Ok. I'll do that :) btw....we tried the swap to my dad's PC but it turns out it's even older than my one and doesn't even have room to Sim on!! I was :( Oh well :S

awww sry :( Maybe it's just a sure sign you need a new Mac :)

*giggles at GTD, apt response for no Simming availability*

It would seem so, yes. btw I asked Brian to help me look on the Nividea site but he thinks it's pointless. He's convinced it's a hardware error b/c, as you may or may not recall, I had problems with the ATI card before he replaced it with this one so... :S Def. time for the Mac, methinks. Now all I have to do is save for it ;.;

Hee ^.^ and LOL@ your icon too!! It never fails to amuse me.
