(no subject)
i am so unbelievably tired. yesterday was hardwork. we left for the field at 9 and didn't get back until like 1. i was working with jose (who believe it or not is the former president of costa rica) and we got assigned to work in the forest meaning we had to wade through about 4 foot of snow to get there. and snow shoes? snow shoes are RUBBISH. but it was cool. and i felt useful. got back and ate LOADS for lunch including the best cherry pie i've ever had. it's pie and crumble combined.... afternoon we inputted data and then at 3 four of us (including me) went out again to take snow core samples from revegetation sites. got back and ate dinner and then we had a 2 and a half hour lecture on climate change in the cryosphere. it was really interesting and we get to keep his slideshow which i am sure will be useful for university next year. i had a cigarette last night too and it was GOOD. i haven't smoked in a while and whilst i was fine it was nice yesterday to have a kick of nicotine lol.
woke up this morning at 6.15 just before my alarm went off, i think my body clock has programmed itself to wake up everyday at that time... had breakfast and breakfast here is so damn good. pancakes, bacon and hashbrowns? doesn't get better than that my friends. then i was on washing up duty so me and ali whipped through it all. we were efficient.
anyway. i have to go to the briefing meeting so i'll update later
