Ok so first let me start by saying that I just learned how to knit like maybe 2 months ago. Long enough to make 3 hats and 5 scarves. (more coming as i am making christmas presents for people) anyway, we found basically this gold mine of yarn stash this lady had and got it for 20 bucks (enough to fill an entire cedar chest brimming and she has more coming and i am paying her for each load) I had one set of needles and made another pair with some wooden dowels and ends and they ended up being like 3 times smaller then the other set i bought. Long story shorter still i am doing very well on it until i started this project for knitting some booties...
as many of you know i am left handed and while this is good for being unique, it ends up hilarious sometimes when trying to read patterns. It's a right handed person's world out there and it gets confusing
So i had my first huge mistake ever. I read the last part of the pattern backward. now there's 2 non-functioning straps on what would otherwise be a very adorable bootie and it wasted a good deal of yarn that isn't even made anymore. I am thinking of taking the top part apart and starting over and that's probably what i will do but it was just a very sad moment for me to see this adorable baby-foot shape come into being only to see that the last 2 hours have been wasted :(
ok whining over
I love you all and miss you dearly and hope everyone is doing well!
