10:31, hit the alarm off half asleep....Calm, quiet, peaceful sleep. Then I jolt up in bed, some noise....it's the phone. I grab it off the base....wrong number, someone looking for Juan or something. My body says lie back down and go to sleep, but I stop to look at the clock for a sec. It's 11:48! I have a final at 11:30! I leap out of bed in just my boxers, my roommate looks over from his computer desk. "Oh shit, oh shit.. oh SHIT!", I keep saying, flying around the room throwing clothes on and collecting my shocked thoughts and waking up my shocked body. I hustle out and run all the way to G-wing, only to find out that the exam is in the A-wing. Finally, cold and out of breath, I rush into the room huffing like a marathon runner. The professor seems somewhat unsurprised, maybe she was expecting it? It's my existential final, but it's in the computer lab. 1:30 rolls around, and the professor suddenly gets up "time to go Megan." she says to one of my classmates. They both leave. It should have occured to me then, but I was into writing my essays, and I assumed there were still others working on the final in there. There weren't. It's 1:41, and I finish, and I run around trying to locate my professor. Not in her office, not in our usual G-building room. Finally aroudn 1:58, I happen to notice that she's in a small meeting in a B-building room. She seems annoyed that I was there, but it is hard to read her expression as I hand her my final and explain the situation. She only states that it's 2'oclock, and she'll decide later how she'll want to deal with this. I have no idea what that means, but I know it infers penalities. How harsh, if given, I don't know. All I know is, I really wish I hadn't hit the alarm off in my sleep. Can you get any more cliche' college student than that? lol
