Ninety minutes left on the kickstarter for this. Less than eight hundred dollars to go. Come on, come on...
I don't even quite know why this has caught my attention so much. I think it's just that I love the idea of a little indie movie getting a proper old-style Hollywood premiere and breaking this horrible cycle of straight-to-DVD indie movies that get no publicity because nobody knows they're out there, but nobody knows they're out there because they got no publicity. And because it's not fair that a handful of directors get to do the red carpet thing all the time with bloated crappy movies that aren't worth the ticket price, and great, talented indie directors never have that chance at all. It's like the idea that every kid should get to be a princess or a knight or a superhero once in their life. Every filmmaker or actor should get to do the Hollywood thing once. Dreams like that matter.
