TRAVEL-LOG-BLOG 3
Saturday in the back country hills of Missouri…

I'll make this short and sweet. Beautiful hill country of the Ozarks. Fabulous vistas. Great looking horseflesh in pastures. Lots of cattle. We missed a turn. And we ended up taking something that the map called "A". They list a lot of roads by the alphabet in Missouri. And A … well A was a roller-coaster wearing asphalt camouflage, and cleverly disguised as a road. It was the most up-down-up-around-down ride of my RVing life. No shoulders on the road. No turnarounds. No room for mistakes. The drops took my stomach. We made it out alive.

Nuff said.

Sunday we crossed East Kansas. The Flint Hill country was lovely. The 101 temps and 35 MPH winds were not.

Monday we crossed West Kansas and entered East Colorado. A lot of flat. A lot of storms.

More nuff said.

BUT! Total excitement and lots of girly screams! Fire Mountain Gems found me and sent me a reply!!! Can you believe it???!!! And I am totally loving the new catalogue. I am on page 794, studying the pewter beads! Whoowhoowhoo! I mean -- how can a jewelry-making writer, and her jewelry-making character make lovely things without a FMGs catalogue to help?
