As usual, its been a rather long time since I've posted here. And once again, much has changed since my last entry. A few key things have changed, such as my 'profession', my living situation, my plans for the future, and of course the coming inauguration of the 44th President of the United States. Not to mention (for now) a multitude of more minor details.
For starters, the change in my profession occurred when I was laid off from Kendall Toyota on Oct. 15th 2008. Luckily I had seen the possibility of a lay-off in my future, and had enough money saved to live on for a couple months. It took approximately a month, but I managed to find another job. I am now a part time cashier for (*Gasp!*) Wal-Mart. Which I must admit, is a much easier job than my roommate's consistent complaints had lead me to believe. Turns out Dan is just a bull-headed Wuss. (lol) I can consider going to school or something now that I'm part time. It would do me good.
Speaking of my roommate, that leads me to my change in living arrangements. he recently (meaning 4 or 5 months ago) got fired from Wal-Mart. Why you ask? Well, he didn't show up to work for three weeks, or call in for any of those days. Hmm. Wonder why they fired him? Sometime before that, his girlfriend had "Moved in". I had no idea this was happening until her stuff was already here. I was furious. No idea why she's still here. But I do know she's about 8 and a half months pregnant now. And guess who's the daddy? Needless to say, he is broke, so is his g/f, they're having a kid, and will soon have no home because they can't pay bills. And neither of them have put even the least bit of effort into finding a job.
With all this new and exciting stuff happening, Naturally my plans for the future have adapted to meet my current projected needs for the future. I am considering several things at the moment. First and easiest to initiate would be to go to school. However, I don't know what I would go to school for. I could go for a Networking Engineer degree, or I could just get a BA, and attempt to join the Police Department, or something along those lines. I could join the military, most likely the Air Force or the Navy. Or I could attempt to move to another state, most likely Oklahoma due to cheap living costs and the fact that I have a lot of family there.
Not much to say about the election. I am skeptical as to Obama's ability to lead and to live up to his word of "Change". I am also skeptical about his changes being for better or worse. Frankly, I'm not convinced he was the best choice for President, but we shall see.
