And then there is a Sesh, wandering about on some errand or other, peering with some interest at the sword.

"What's that?"

They don't go in for physical weapons so much on Antar. They don't need them.

"Hi, Sesh. This is a sword. Earth weapon."

"Hi." He leans over to study it. "What do you do with it?"

[faithful_slayer]

"Lots of things. It slices, it dices, and makes Julianne badguy in three different ways."

Beat.

"Also the hilt makes a great club."

[rebelheartalien]

He looks at her sideways.

"'Julianne badguy'?"

[faithful_slayer]

Faith facepalms.

"Julianne is a special kind of cut. There used to be this advertisement for an appliance that...anyway, you can stab people with it too. Very handy."

He nods thoughtfully.

"It must be useful, when you don't have powers."

[faithful_slayer]

"It is."

Faith pauses, consideringly.

"...would you like to learn to use one?"

That gets a grin.

"Is it difficult?"

[faithful_slayer]

"That depends on how good you want to get."

He glances over his shoulder.

"How much time will it take? The General..."

[faithful_slayer]

"Go on," Faith says. "We can start lessons another time. And it'll take a lot more than one lesson."

[rebelheartalien]

"I'll find you", he says with another boyish grin. "When I have time off."

[faithful_slayer]

"I'm not hard to find," Faith says dryly. "See you later, Sesh."

And off she goes to do...regal swordy things.
