Faith hops up to her feet and goes to the door, opening it and beaming at him.

"You came!"

"'course I did," he says, starting to hug her, then pauses. "Can I touch you? Or is there some alien tradition about hugging a bride by the non-groom?"

Faith answers this question by hugging him and kissing his cheek loudly.

"That must be a 'no,'" he observes and hugs her tight. "You're beautiful, Faithful."

"Thank you." She beams at him. "Even with the blue?"

"Even with the blue," he says. "You carry it off quite well."

"Good."

Beat.

"Is Max gonna implode, do you think?"

"He's gonna do something memorable, I think," he says, Not Smirking, Nope, Nuh-uh.

"...after the ceremony, I'm sure."

"Oh, naturally. Best time for it. Hopefully no imploding royalty before the ceremony or all this will be for naught."

"And I will cry. Woeful tears."

"And that would ruin your makeup, which would be even more of a tragedy."

"In short, imploding probably bad."

[bloody_rockgod]

"Yes. Being struck dumb by your loveliness, that will be an acceptable reaction. Tears, too. Wouldn't surprise me a'tall if he cried a bit."
