The battle was a massacre - short, bloody, and utterly one-sided. At the end of it, the ground was soaked with demonic blood, the Senior Partners were locked up in a pocket dimension that would hold them for years, and none of the army of Slayers on the field had so much as a bruise.
Except for Faith.
How it happened, in the end, was this - Faith, as the focus, ended up in control of a small army of Slayers, all of them linked to her mind and the tens of thousands of Slayers inside her. As a result, they all got the power boost, every one of them - but Faith, as the focus, got the lion's share, both of the power and of the consequences.
Which is why, when the dust settled and the work was done, all the other girls were unharmed, but Faith was, once again, in a coma, seemingly unaware of anything, seemingly unresponsive.
The thing is, of course, that appearances are deceiving. And Faith is dreaming.
And when you're dreaming...all sorts of people can reach you.
