Prompt: #031 - Fortune cookie fortunes
The best way to get rid of an enemy is to make him your friend.
Sexist, that was Buffy’s first thought about the cookie fortune- assuming that the worst of enemies were male. Glory wasn’t male, but Glory would have never been her friend. It was a simplistic piece of advice. Though she admitted that if she changed friend to lover she’d have an accurate history of her life.
“Morning Buffy.”
The Slayer looked up to see the witch and sorcerer that she had saved last month (by hap chance, since all three of them had been tracking/fighting the demon that she had killed). Buffy smiled. “Lucas. Paige.”
The sorcerer-lawyer got right to business. “Papa agreed to your proposal.”
It had been a demand.
“He’ll only inform you of any rumors of newly called Slayers. He, nor any of the Cabels, will approach them.”
And Benico would make sure that none of the other Cabels would have the advantage that he had given up.
“Good.”
The best way to get rid of an enemy is to make him your friend.
Or you could save the most precious thing of your enemy -in this case, his son- and gain neutral party.
