“You’re kidding me.” Agent Don Eppes stared at the local enforcement officer in shock. “She’s legit?”
The officer shrugged sheepishly. “I’m serious. The family didn’t think that it was wise to contact the FBI since their girl and her girl were here illegally. Ms. Mallory has been quite good at finding lost kids.”
Charlie stood by his brother’s side. “So she’s a wizard?”
The officer shrugged again. The female wizard appeared at the officer’s side. She held out the handcuffs that should have been around her wrists. “Yes,” she smiled sweetly. “Wizard, hired by the family to find their missing girls.”
“Wizards?” Charlie nearly laughed at the idea.
The female kept on walking. “I did find them first.”
Charlie and Don stared at her. Charlie sputtered and tried to reply. “Math did solve this.”
“A wizard solved it faster,” she taunted, “Next time, I’m in the phone book. Under ‘Wizard.’”
