ok...long time no write
the DC trip in summary
spent the whole day sunday with my beloved mother, church, movies, four hours of sorting her papers for her then a couple blessed hours with nathan playing games at her house. Monday (7-25) we left at 10 in the morning and pretty much spent the whole day on planes or waiting for them. we had two planes and our second one was delayed about...three hours. Tuesday we got on the bus (WOW!!) then onto the metro and went into washington DC! we had a bus tour thing which was kinda neat...anyway it took us to a daytime view of most of the sites then we stopped for a while at the air and space museum and the national cathedral (amazing!! arcetecture, woodwork, glasswork...just wow) and ate at the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner.
the next day mom let us sleep in a bit and we got a late start. we went to the oh i can't relaly remember lol, but i do know that we saw the white house and the National Archives and Library of Congress then came back early. Wednesday we got an early start and saw what seemed like everything lol, we saw the U.S. Capitol, the inside of the Supreme court (where the justices sit), we went to the holocaust museum and tried to go to the Smithsonian Castle but ran out of time. Then we went on an incredible night tour to the Lincoln Memorial, Iow Jima memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, WWII memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Arlington National Cemetery. These were very...very cool i was the videographer for the trip
Then on Friday morning we caught a amtrak to philly and i'll tell you more tomorrow about what happened there
