NATO Phonetic Alphabet!
On the advice of certain people of my acquaintance, I'm doing a sort of informal poll/survey.
1. Have you heard of the NATO Phonetic Alphabet?
2. Do you know the whole alphabet? (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie...)
3. Do you use it when spelling things?
I'm asking because I thought it was a fairly widely known system, and (though I know it's a little irrational) I am a little bothered when people don't use it when they spell things. However, I was talking about this to a couple of people today. One had never even heard of it, and the other had heard of it, but was unable to remember the full sequence, and therefore didn't use it. They suggested I ask other people.
