The year is 1935, and you are in New York. Perhaps you wake up in your bed, the house you must have always lived in, or perhaps you're on a boat on route from a foreign country headed towards Ellis Island... for a moment, you may feel a disorienting sense of being lost, of not knowing where you are and that something is wrong.
Then, the feeling passes, and you remember you've been here all along.
There are buildings that you feel you don't recognize, parts of your memories that don't seem to line up, or that are missing entirely. You remember Franklin Roosevelt being elected, but you don't remember what you ate for dinner last night.
Perhaps you feel there is something more to your life than you are seeing... or perhaps nothing seems wrong to you at all.
Welcome to The Spider's Walk, a panfandom RP set in the noir-1930s. Gangsters, speak-easies, detectives, deals with the devil. Your characters have had their memories altered so they no longer remember their real lives, although they can sense, maybe, that something is off. That there is more going on than meets the eye. Eventually maybe they'll discover this life is a lie -- but the question is, why? How did they get there, and who altered their memories? How do they get home, and most importantly, how do they get their memories back?
