LOL When it came to that bit, it was seriously the first thing that popped into my head, that Faith would be right there with him! I actually grabbed my laptop and started typing, then had to stop to watch the rest of the episode!
Thanks! I've been told by one reader on another forum that it seems a bit much that Faith would be willing to torture the person Alistair is possessing, but I think even post redemption Faith still has that side to her and for Dean, she'd let it out. Also mentioned was that Faith wasn't all that creative when it came to torturing Wesley, but I figure it's not really the creativity that counts in this situation. Dean, obviously, has that in spades. It's the willingness to do the deed and still come out whole at the end!
I'm in total agreement with you on Faith's willingness. I think the Orpheus arc in Angel showed that she was willing to do whatever it took to protect her "people".
And frankly, I thought her torturing of Wesley was one of the most chilling scenes in S1 - and I loved that they carried the unresolved issues forward as far as they did. She's not as creative as Dean was last night, but *damn* - I'm not sure any human who hadn't been to hell could have pulled that kind of stuff off.
(Hope you don't mind, but I went to this well too. I'm a little beyond you - Faith showing up at the hospital afterwards. Mind if I post it when it's done?)
