(no subject)
God is so awesome! He keeps on showing me this everyday...i LOVE it:)
so yesterday was like one of the weirdest days i've had yet this summer. sunday night, natalie, kim and i went to Howard City to see kimmy's bf's friends. i learned just about everything i'd ever want to know about the Marines, thanks to Ted. (who insisted on sleeping on the floor of the room i was sleeping in... strange kid... about 100,000 miles from my type. my friends were like, you guys slept in the same room and you didn't make out or anything?!! i was like, yeah, what's your point? lol, it's interesting how pure my motivations are and will forever continue to be. that's probably the thing about me that i'm the most proud of.)
anyway, so in the morning, we took natalie to her physical therapy, and kimmy and i went to meijer. i got a CUTE bathing suit for... $12.00!! i was way excited since we were all supposed to go to Grand Haven that day to sleep off the hangovers (that i never got, thank God). and then kimmy's phone rang...
and it was her mom, telling her that my mom called her to find me... to tell me that my horse had gotten loose!! lovely, angelic, curious pony. grrr! so i went home and looked EVERWHERE for like 3 hours. my dad came home from an interview and we looked some more. that's when i started praying to God, St. Anthony (patron saint of lost things) and St. Francis of Assisi (patron saint of animals). just a simple short prayer asking for assistance. and not more than 10 minutes later, i found him:) (i <3 God) that darn pony was INSIDE the neighbor's barn! who knows how he got there?!
anyway, so i didn't get to go to the beach the other day, but i did get to spend some more quality time with my other neighbor, Jillian and my daddy. weird day...
i've decided that i've been too selfish with my time and energy. i'm going to research all the places near here that i can volunteer. cause what good is all the strength, energy and friendliness that God gave me if i only expend it on myself? :) so it's off to the library this afternoon after work, to research those and some scholarships...Ireland's coming up soon!
