"I can travel anywhere. Except Cuba."

Aaaaaaaand I'm back.

So yes, of course, I will eventually go into huge, lengthy detail about my trip that no one will actually read but will give me something to do when I've got a couple hours to kill.  But for now, I just had a pretty kick-ass day and I want to share it with the LJ world. Because I can.

I was up for 25 hours straight on Friday and so I really expected to just sleep all day Saturday, effectively ruining any chance of getting on California time.  Luckily, my unconcious was like "hell to the no" and woke me up at a quarter to nine.  And I surprisingly felt okay.  No jet lag for moi.  Getting up early gave me a head start on the things I had to do today namely the two Hs: Haircut and Harry Potter.

Now, I've had some bad haircuts in the past.  One lady took a razor to my hair when all I wanted was a trim.  Another stylist gave me some horrible cross between the "Rachel" and a mullet.  So it's understandable that I have a little bit of a panic attack whenever I go to the hairdresser.  This time, however, I came out of there a very, VERY happy camper.  I think the only real way you can describe my hair now is "sassypants."  Yes that's right, sassypants.  It's a bouncy, it's full, it got the cute guy at Border's to flirt with me.  Mission accomplished.

Speaking of Borders, I got my copy of good ol' Harry.  Since I was a smart cookie and pre-ordered my copy, I was able to get it today instead of the losers who just figured they'd have 12 bazillion copies of it in the back.  I got there at noon and they had already sold out of their extra stock.  Anyway, I'm already on Chapter 7 and....wow.  Seriously, dang.  That's all I can say without being spoilery.

Between that, taco night, and my coffee-shop hopping, it was the perfect first day back in the states.

God Bless America.
