"Is this real life?!"-my favorite youtube video ever

Jul 29, 2009 15:06

Salutations.

According to Aunt Boss, I don't update my blog as much as I used to. To which I replied: 'MAYBE IT'S 'CAUSE I WORK 40 HOURS A WEEK GEEZ!!!!" I was not fired for insubordinance. Pays to work for family, eh?

A few noteworthy items:

-I'm auditioning for a professional dinner theater this weekend. It's located right here in town, and while my weekend would be completely booked with shows, the extra money would be so worth it. And not only is it extra money, but it's being paid to do something I would do for free. I'm not holding my breath because I'm sure there are tons of people auditioning who are far more talented than I am, but it's worth a shot! Fingers and toes crossed, if you would please, flist.

-Pretty much since the clock struck 2009, I have been focused on nothing but graduating and starting this job. Now that I've done the first and am settled in to the second, it's dawned on me how many big things are coming up in the next couple months. Like turning 22 in six-ish weeks! And going to Hawaii in October!

-Between Netflix and long treks to find indie theaters, I have seen so many good movies lately! "Frost/Nixon"=awesome. "Doubt"=even awesomer. "500 Days of Summer"=my new favorite romantic-but-not movie ever. Seriously, I don't care how far you have to travel to see this movie, it is so worth it.

-David's been such a busy kid finishing up his last college class EVER that I've had lots of me time. And while I love him dearly, it's been so nice taking it easy in the evenings. I shower the day off of me, get in my coziest and coolest PJs, and settle in to watch some TV on DVD whilst eating mint chocolate chip ice cream that the grocery fairy so kindly bestowed in the freezer. He won't have to twist my arm too badly to hang out with him again once he's done, however.

-Speaking of my arm, it's all healed! No more sling and meds for me, I haveall my limbs again.

-My aunt was gracious enough to buy me the first two seasons of Everwood on DVD. You remember the show: a WB drama circa 2001-2005. Anyway, it was my high school Monday night routine to watch it and subsequently gab about it with friends on Tuesday. My plan for the evening is to hibernate in my room, watch a few episodes, and relive my junior year.

I apologize for the hefty blogs, but at the rate I'm going, I've got to make each one worth your time.

yayz, work, tv, movies, ohmigod
