(Letter) In Search of Missing Siblings

Jul 16, 2008 23:50

Brothers,

You're probably really angry with me, because I haven't seen you in so long, or tried to write to you, but I'm really really sorry, and I'm trying to now, so please don't be too angry?  I have no idea where you are, or about anything that's happened, and I'm worried.  I need to know that you're all safe, and I need to know where you are so ( Read more... )

Tutu-

I'm afraid your bird got a bit lost in trying to find your brothers in the mountains near the kingdom of Sorasto. Your bird was quite tired and hungry when I found him, so I sent one of my birds back to you, so that yours could rest with me. I'm enclosing your original letter in hopes that you may try again. Best of luck.

Kraehe,
Princess of the Night

Dear Kraehe,

Thank you so much for taking care of him! He wasn't hurt, right?

Wow, I've never heard of the kingdom of Sorasto. Is it really that far away? If it's near the mountains, it must be really pretty though!

Thank you for returning the letter. I'll definately try again. One of my letters has to reach them eventually, right?

Sincerely,
Tutu

P.S. It must be really neat to be a princess!

[Sent back with the original bird. <3]

As you can see, he's just fine. After a day, he was feeling fine and cheerful again.

I suppose it's decent enough; I have seen little of or outside of the kingdom since I am not allowed to leave the tower I'm kept in.

I hope you find luck in your endeavor. How long have you been without your brothers?

It would be more pleasant were I allowed to return to my own kingdom.

Sincerely,
Kraehe

[Sent with a songbird for her listening please.]

Dear Kraehe,

He was really hungry when he got back again, though I think he was happy to be home.

You can't leave? Why are they keeping you in a tower? But if you're in a tower, atleast you must be able to see some really pretty sunsets...or would it be sunrises?

I... I think it's been about eight years, maybe a little more since I've seen my brothers.

I hope they let you return home soon, but even if you're away, it still must be neat to be a princess. I know! I'll send this letter with Hermia. She's a songbird, so even if you can't go home, she can keep you company for a while!

Sincerely,
Tutu

Sorasto, the ruler of the Kingdom of Justice, kidnapped me from my home, the Kingdom of the Night, in order to spite my mother. They seem to think that my mother is dangerous and I should be kept away from her, which they are in no place to say, and so thus I can kept a prisoner. ...Yes, sunset is beautiful...but I do wish I could feel the warmth of the Night back in my own kingdom.

I'm sorry that you've been away from your brothers for so long. You must miss them terribly.

Hermia's song reminded me of a lovely flute. Thank you for sending her to me...she's a very lovely bird. My guard does treat me with respect due to my heritage, at least. But I hope I will return home soon as well.

Sincerely,
Kraehe

Hello again Kraehe!

That's really horrible! Why would they think that of your mother? What is your kingdom like?

I do miss them alot. I wasn't worried before, because I always thought I'd be able to see them when I got to return home.

I'm glad she helped! It's always good to have company! If you keep believing in it, it has to happen eventually, right? So I'll find my brothers, and you'll be able to return home.

Sincerely,
Tutu

My mother is Ruler of the Night, and so therefore the Kingdom of Justice (though I wonder how they can call themselves that) think that she is evil. My guard says that he's supposedly read that she is a tyrant who treats her country cruelly, but it is a lie. My mother is a grand, firm queen.
Well, we inhabit the forests where the trees shade all the sun away, making it always like night. We have beautiful rose gardens, with blue and white roses...when I was home, I usually just liked to spend my time in there with my ravens.

So do you have no idea where they might be?

I suppose that is a hopeful mortal response. Nonetheless, I will keep the comfort.

Sincerely,
Kraehe

Hello!

I hope they get everything sorted out soon. Your kingdom sounds really beautiful. I live in the woods, so I can almost imagine what it must look like. I like to spend time with birds too... though usually it's by the lake. When the sun hit the lake just right, it glitters like a large diamond. How do you get blue roses? All the ones I've seen growing in the woods are red.

My step-mother saw to it that they were sent away shortly after I was. Or atleast that's what I've been told. No one I've talked to knows where they went, only that they're gone. But there are eleven of them, so if they stayed together someone must have seen them.

It is. Living by a lake must be lovely. What sorts of birds are native to the woods you live in? Blue roses are grown with Night magic; I can assume there are none here either, as Night magic is forbidden in Sorasto's realm.

Why did your step-mother send your brothers away? Did they do something to upset her? Yes, I suppose if they're together, they should be easy enough to notice...you can hope, I suppose.

Your Friends Truly,
Kraehe

Greetings!

I love the lake! It's the best part of living out here. We have lots of birds, there's bluebirds, some canaries, there's a sparrow that likes to come around quite often, and a pair of wood thrush that have started to show up. They have a really pretty song, like Hermia. And there are a pair of swans that live on the lake, plus a small flock or maybe it's a gaggle or is it a murder? But there are some ducks too! Red roses are really nice, so blue ones must be even nicer. If they take magic, they must be really hard to grow.

I was gone before they left, so I don't know for sure. I do know that my Step-mother got my father to disinherit them, and that's why they had to leave. He apparently wanted nothing to do with them. If they did something, and I don't think they would, they weren't like that, it must have been very bad.

Tutu
