I got turned down from a job today with the Dept of Social Services because I have a college degree. They told me that I was over qualified. I said fine, pay me the same amount you would pay someone without. It was still a no go. They tell me to apply to the higher up jobs, and they tell me that I need more experience....WHERE DOES IT END! I am so frustrated. Isn't that discrimination!? "oh you have a college degree...no thanks!"
One of 3 ways to get a job.
1.) sleep with the sheriff. did i mention the FBI arrested him? yeah, for sexual harassment among MANY other things.
2.) not own up to having a college degree. yeah, okay.
3.) have an impairment of some sort. how ridiculous does that sound.
The job I have now pays crap and I would like to feel like I went to college to better myself...i went to get the right education for an amazing career. I would love to get a Master's but how can I afford it!
The real world is mean, cold place. How does anyone survive. All I want is the American dream. A career, house, husband, kids, dog and 2 cars.
What I have is 3 jobs, no career, no benefits, no insurance, no life, no sleep, weight varying constantly, a 2 month behind cell phone bill, an inattentive boyfriend, and a completely unsympathetic family who reminds me every chance they get "yeah, look your degree is getting you no where."
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
