Hey Kids!
Hope all is well with everyone I know. Things are decent here. Actually they are excellent...Prepare for Ranbling because i'm so excited!!
I fly out to Oakland, CA tonight.
I land at 11:40pm so I'll get to sleep around 12:30-1:00am and then we'll be up mad freakin early. We haven't actually discussed what time yet, but if Michelle wants to be back in Boston by Tuesday then every minute counts. I'm sooooo excited for this trip.
(Side bar: KIRA FYI - I plan to pick up something in each state for baby.....Azreal?... how that one? no? not good enough for you? too much the cat from the Smurfs? I'll keep trying. Love you hun.)
We're driving east on I-80, which means we get to go through some cool/beautiful states (Nevada, Utah, Wyoming) as well as some boring cornfield states (Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois). I've always wanted to see Salt Lake City and Chicago. I have an uncle in Iowa (which reminds me I still need to call him to see if we can crash there one night) whom I hardly ever get to see. He's one of my favorite uncles!! I'm really looking forward to seeing him.
At the moment I'm checking out the weather forcast on I-80 and trying to figure out on what day I'll be in which state. My sister was hoping to be just over the Nebraska-Iowa border for a Sunday visit with the Uncle. In theory it can be done. According to Yahoo! Maps it's 1656 miles and can be done in 25 hours 28 mins. The whole trip (El Cerrito, CA to Lynn, MA) 3130.8 miles / 48 hours 9 mins.
Wish me luck!
