Anchor and chain
Hebrews 6:19
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."
ok, we are the anchor and God is the chain(don't ask what the ship is, i dont' know). not too odd of a metaphor right? well, lets sink deeper(haha) into this. anchors don't hold because they are heavy(some aren't), they actually have to dig in. it does that by being pulled by the wind or the current and streching the chain tight. the more it is pulled on, the more the anchor will grip....gotcha thinkin yet? jesus always holds on to us, and we get closer to him and have a better relationship with him by being pulled by the challanges of life....there is no danger in the current or the winds, its when there is no wind or current to tighten the hold....don't complain about life's challenges, greet them knowing it will strengthen your walk with the lord.
