I have not been updating since forever but imma try to start somewhere.
reason being i'm heading to Japan next year for 6 weeks and I really wanna document it while tripping.
だから、その旅に向けてブログを再開したいと思います。
My itinerary isn't all that complicated yet covers several places that i've never been to or put my heart into.
I'll be leaving SG on 21 Feb arriving in Tokyo on 22 Feb and I'll only fly back to Singapore from Tokyo on 3 Apr.
The cities that I will be staying at is as follows (in sequence):
Tokyo - Osaka - Fukuoka - Kumamoto - Hiroshima - Kyoto - Nagoya - Tokyo - Singapore
After booking my flights, i was actually unsure where i wanted to go.
The bolded cities were definite and I wasn't sure what to slot in between because I didn't wanna stay in a city too long besides Tokyo, which i was the most comfortable in.
So none of my stays in a city exceed a week except maybe my last leg in Tokyo.
I'm not even sure.
But my first leg at Tokyo - Osaka, I will be traveling with my friend, who is a first-timer to Japan.
I'm excited really because she's open to trying alot of things that I've done or wish to do so I can't wait.
Then I will be joined by my mummy in Fukuoka as well as my colleague (by then ex-colleauge) who will be bring us around..
Then I'll stay over at her 実家 in Kumamoto after my mummy head back to Singapore.
After Kumamoto, i will be solo-ing the trip, meeting friends in Nagoya and Tokyo.
A 6 weeks trip is a first-time for me so i was so uncertain about the duration.
After booking the flight (no changes/cancellations allowed), i had regretted both not making my trip shorter and making my trip longer.
shorter because expenses will go off the charts and also because that season as peaked as hell so everything cost a bomb.
longer because i will be ぎりぎり only seeing my sakura and enjoying my 花見.
hopefully my sakuras don't disappoint me when i go next year.
faster bloom okay.
anyways, because it is peak season, i had to compromise alot of my accommodation.
normally i would opt for airbnb that have seperate area for toilet and shower, bathtubs are a must, wifi & tv are a must, and the kitchen area should separate from the bedroom.
and of course, location.
but this time, other then my first leg with my friend that i managed to get my favourite airbnb in tokyo,
i'm only staying at 2 other airbnb at my last 4 nights in tokyo and when my mummy comes over in fukuoka.
the one in fukuoka does meet my requirements but the one in tokyo is way outskirt of the city nearer to haneda airport, which i will be flying back from.
That is partially the reason i chose the one in tokyo but I did wish there were more affordable accommodation in the city area with my requirements.
but at least i get to enjoy my bathtubs for both airbnbs!
as for my other cities, it is a mix of hotels and capsule hotels/hostels.
capsules are a first time for me so i do feel very 不安. because i'm really very こだわる about toilet cleanliness so i was very 真剣 when i was choosing the capsules.
i try to find all the reviews i could and pictures so hopefully the ones i chose are good enough.
I will be staying in capsules in Kyoto, Nagoya and 3N of my last leg in Tokyo.
for both my stays in Kyoto and Nagoya, they are not really the bunkbeds or 2level beds kind of capsule so there's more privacy and comfort but for my tokyo one...
it's the real deal man.
I will be staying in hotels in Hiroshima and Nagoya.
It's been awhile since i've stayed in hotel for when i go to japan so yay to that.
other than the capsule hotels, i can enjoy my お風呂 too which is amazing!
oh wait, but there seem to be bathtubs in the capsule hotels that i'll be staying in Kyoto omg?
I really wish to document my whole capsule experience on here and dayre.
I'll really try my best!
em is asking me to make friends when i stay in the capsule hotels. i'm not sure if i'm able to do so.
i always am lacking in the social sector of my life.
anyways, if i have any updates, imma come back here again!
