Save the cheerleader! Save the world!
Yeah, yeah, I'm going to get flak for this, but I checked out the tv cheerleading drama Hellcats the other day, and I totally like it. It doesn't take itself seriously at all and it somehow manages to average a genuine laugh-out-loud moment every episode. The two leads Aly Michalka and Ashley Tisdale are easy on the eyes and respectable in the acting department (Ashley more so than Aly, but they seem to bounce off each other well).
The plot is laughable, but it still kicks the pants off Make It or Break It lol. That just involved EVERYBODY sleeping with each other. In Hellcats' case, Aly's character is dating boy A but really wants boy B (currently dating Ashley's character) and will invariably end up with boy C (a hilariously socially inept law student. I laugh my ass off at pretty much every scene he's in). Like I said, predicable. However, it should be a pretty entertaining ride and they have scantily clad dance performances just about every episode. What's not to like? XD
