Kind of a weird question, but if a character is injured in the canon point they're taken from, do they get healed in the process of coming over to Splendor, or...?

That's entirely up to you. There's a part on the application where you can say what their appearance will be once they arrive. If you want them to be a little banged up because of a fight from canon, go for it. If not, they'll be arrive perfectly fine.

...I'm sorry, I just want to absolutely clarify - does this extend to near-lethal wounding, too, or just being a bit beat up?

It extends to any type of injury. Characters who have died in canon can show up perfectly fine, so injured people should be able to as well, regardless of their condition.
