What Your Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich Means

Your eating style is reserved. You are a bit of a fussy eater, and you have very specific ways you like your food prepared.

You have an average sweet tooth. While you enjoy desserts, they aren't exactly your downfall.

Your taste in food tends to be pretty flexible. You may crave sushi one night, and your favorite childhood recipe the next.

You are probably a fairly normal, upper middle class person. You don't rock the boat too often.

You are a tough person who isn't afraid to live life fully. There isn't a lot that scares you.

You are a pretty easy person to please, but you do have your own little personal quirks. You're far from neurotic, but you can be a little picky at times.
What Does Your Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich Say About You?

Who'da thunk a quiz about a pb & j could be so eerily accurate? Neat-o, huh?

In other news, I am getting married in 18 days!!!!! I'd be lying if I said there was anything else going on in my life right now. At this point in time every waking moment that I am not distracted by an activity, book, movie or work is spent obsessing about every detail, how will it go, if everyone will have a good time, etc. *nervous, anxious, nervous, anxious, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, ecstatic! repeat* <----- pretty much my range of emotions right now, lol

Jon and I have chosen to adopt a new last name together, as both of our last names are common to the point of absurdity. ("Anderson" is the 11th most common last name in America and "Perkins" is the 24th most common last name. Also, "Jon" is the 2nd most common male name.) We were going to go with Anderson until we realized that Jon would be "Jon Anderson"-- and there are only about a couple million of those in the country. We could just imagine a conversation like the following:

Guy 1: "Hey, I read Jon Anderson's new book, it was really great!"
Guy 2: "Oh, yeah, I read it too. I really like science fiction."
G1: "Sci-fi? Jon Anderson writes historical fiction, doesn't he? Maybe I got his name wrong..."
G2: "Hhhmmm...wait, is it the same Jon Anderson who also wrote that article in the NY Times recently or the one who..."

And etc, and etc, and etc.

Not to mention the fact that there is already a "Lauren Anderson" in SAG and AEA, so I've been forced to do that cliche "three name actor thing" to define myself professionally.

The name we've chosen is currently, as far as we can tell, no one's last name-- hooray! We'll be unique! This means that we can do nifty things like create a family crest / coat of arms and make an interesting and distinct mark on the family tree.

We will soon be Jon and Lauren Auverset.

The French word verset means " a short verse, especially from a sacred book or a stanza form modeled on such biblical verse." It can also refer to the lines that are spoken by the chorus in Greek Tragedies as well as free verse and prose poetry.

Au is just a French article meaning, "A, of, from" (as far as I am sure, please correct me if I am inaccurate.)

Hence, we get Auverset (silent "t" like in "Fontenot", and with the "au" French vowel-- "aw-ver-say"), a nice sounding, pretty French name (both Jon and I, in our "European-Mutt" ancestry are both about half French, besides which we are much more connected with the French / Acadian / Cajun ancestry than anything else.) that ties in to both of our passions (writing / words and theatre-- especially that which is written in verse, i.e. Shakespeare and Greek) and is also unique.
