I got into 1950s housewife mode today, and I baked!
Sort of
I don't know why I got the urge to make banana bread.
but the cookbooks i have don't have that recipe.
So I made the closest thing which happened to be banana waffles.
Even though we don't have a waffle maker.
I made them pancake style instead. And i stacked them one ontop of the other, I think the batter was enough for like five banana pancakes, and in between each one i put whipped cream and strawberries, with a happy face on the tippidy tippidy top.
I'm not sure how tasty it was, to me everything tastes good... almost everything.... but Gina, and Lio, and Andrew said they liked it. It was a pretty ordinary concoction, but I'm very proud of it. i think i'm going to start to buy baking stuff so i can make other things..
