job! move!
and on a different topic entirely, and throwing off my never-posting average with two posts back-to-back, i have a new job!!!! this is fabulous news for many reasons:
a. we planned to move no matter what, and i cannot keep my current job when we move, so being employed is a good thing, financially, plus, i'm terribly bored and unhappy when i'm not employed;
b. the job itself... essentially i will be paid for spending time in my (new) community, talking to lots of people about issues i feel passionate about. what could be better???
c. the organization i'll work for: Planned Parenthood. one that, in contrast to my current position, i greatly respect and enthusiastically support.
d. i get to leave my current job! ok, this is more related to moving, see above, but, it's happening at the same time and i am *so* excited to leave the place... the office, the larger organization, my specific boss... *so* excited to leave!
e. even impending unemployment, with current employment, was enough to make me begin to exhibit signs of the above boredom and unhappiness, so this stops that! now i'm just nervous about the big changes.
f. i can't remember... i'm running out of steam (it's sadly my bedtime), but i'm too happy about it for there only to be a-e reasons.
