Thats a beautiful story and I am glad you shared it. Sometimes some of these people have criminal record thats very extensive and it prevents them from getting jobs and they don't have a support system. So whats left for them unfortunately is the streets and that really sad. The kicker for me is that a large majority of them are veterans which really makes my heart brake.
