At work they have a "roaming trophy" which roughly equates to, "If you do a good job then you get a trophy, but not really." You can lose your trophy if you don't do a good job the next month. there are 5 other teams and the trophy means you are better than the 5 other teams that are trying to get the trophy. (There is no cash or other reward for getting awarded the trophy.) Lately all of the other teams have been beating us and the person in charge of the "trophy program" warned us that they might have to take away our trophy. I reassured them that they won't have to worry because we will find some other place to put all the pens that the trophy has been holding.
My manager keeps telling me that I am doing awful and I am going to be getting fired soon. I keep letting him know that if he is going to fire me then it means I get to go home early and I won't come in to work the weekend.
