I'm about to suck it up and pay the stupidly high fee for a covered parking spot at my apartment complex. Not because I need covered parking, but because so few people pay for the spots that I'd be less likely to ever have people park next to me.
I make it a point to always park with as much room between my car and the cars on either side of me as possible -- sure, it's courteous, but it's mostly because I really don't want my brand new car getting scratched up any more than it has to be. And whenever possible, I take spots at the end of a row so I only have someone on one side.
So this morning, I get to my car and find a huge, deep scrape on the driver's side, just behind the rear door. And when I say deep, I mean I'm worried that it'll rust if I don't do something about it. It looks a lot like someone caught me with their bumper pulling out and just kept going; this gouge is about the size of my palm. I am furious -- they didn't leave a note or anything. There is no way someone could have not realized they were scratching up my car! ::sigh:: Whatever. At least it shouldn't be a hard colour to match -- I mean, Chevy is still making cars in this particular blue, so... yeah. Anyone know a good , inexpensive body shop?
