It's REALLY big NEWS this time...
For not having updated my LJ in forever, but still lurk around for fandom, I cannot believe that NEWS, which got me hooked onto LJ is also the thing to bring me back to it.
After so much waiting and NEWS members telling us to "believe in them", the leader and Ryo is departing from the group. It completely saddens me that NEWS had endured and weathered so many things and finally managed to make a come back as a very united group of six, is now crumbling into a group of four. From 9 to 8 to 7 to 6 and now 4.
So much for their song "1,2,3,4,5,6,7 It's big NEWS". *is bricked*
Not that i didn't sense it coming, (though the biggest hint should have been how Ryo's been introduced on shows lately as Kanjani8's Nishikido (no mentions of NEWS).and now that I saw it happen, I would have naturally assumed that TegoMass would do their own thing as well, but I'm still kind of emotionally stumped by this. So many fans have been waiting, the six of them were getting along so well, they still feigned NEWS's existence via magazines. I'm kind of heartbroken. I guess I can feel what KAT-TUN fans felt when Jin announced his departure. After a wonderful concert tour, nothing was even mentioned and they kept the NEWS fans hopes up...and finally it all collapses.
I really don't want to blame anyone because I'm sure Yamapi can take his career much farther without a group and Ryo's probably dead buried under work, but as a NEWS fan in JE fandom (the only ever fandom I was ever in), I'm thoroughly saddened.
8 years...almost to the 10 year mark. Never ending wonderful story....
